One thing left out of the weekly roundup was protection against identity theft, as it pertains to your online financial interactivity.
There are some scams going on that are building momentum. As a college professor and journalist specializing in teaching kids about money management, I have become focused on the vulnerability of young adults to identity theft, particularly in their blossoming financial lives.
On my blog, AskAnne–giveme20.com/blog–I’ve posted a checklist of ways to prevent identity theft. People without much credit at all–clean slates in the credit world–are getting to be popular victoms among identity thieves.
Very curious to see what people here think of these steps, and other precautions you’ve taken, and have advised people to take.
